Wärtsilä BLRT Estonia OÜ is a joint venture company founded in 2005. It was set up between Wärtsilä and the BLRT Grupp of Estonia to service ships of the Baltic area. The joint venture is owned 51% by Wärtsilä and 49% by the BLRT Grupp. Wärtsilä BLRT Estonia is a customer oriented Service company providing the best engine and mechanical related Service to the industry. We deliver a wide range of fast, cost effective, local support for 2-stroke and 4-stroke diesel engines, propulsion complex and a variety of ship equipment, including auxiliary equipment, boilers, control and automation equipment and general steelwork.

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

- Perform Service activities according to the work plan

- Machining of parts of different levels of complexity, purpose, and composition  

- Perform smaller inspection/defect detection, basic scheduled repairs

- Assist and support Service Engineers during the execution of repair and overhaul jobs

- Measure parts and components, record the measurement data on the relevant document

- Report executed work according to Wärtsilä standards

- Use only calibrated working tools and equipment

- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsila QEHS guidelines and customer site procedures

- Promote Wärtsilä Products and Services

Requirements

- Basic technical/mechanical schooling and work experience in the related environment

- Able to perform work independently on conventional machine tools (vertical/horizontal lathe, milling machine, drilling machine, boring machine, grinding machine), and common measurement instrumentation to obtain standard tolerances 

- Able to perform simple repair/fitting activities of standard components

- Availability of a lathe certificate

- Experience with pneumatic and electric tools

- Able to perform rigging work

- Discipline

- Responsible and accurate
