Transportation Planner

The Role… We are currently looking to recruit a Transportation Planner for DFDS Logistics OÜ located in Tallinn Estonia. You would join our team in Tallinn but start working mainly with the planning team located in Hamburg Germany.  To be considered you would need former planning experience preferably on the traffic lanes related to Germany.  

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules as well as routes for drivers
• Independently plan the company’s own vehicle and trailer fleet
• Act as the main point of contact for our truck drivers
• Review and update daily routes in our system and make adjustments if necessary
• Daily communication with transport contractors, obtaining loading and unloading times
• Serve as an information source for internal colleagues as well as external partners and authorities
• Develop, submit, and implement recommendations and suggestions for improvement

• Knowledge of the transport industry and at least 2 years of experience in a similar position
• A customer- and solution-oriented approach
• Good communication skills in English language
• Flexibility regarding working hours
• Proactive and assertive
• A team player with a high level of commitment and sense of responsibility
• Possibility to travel
• German language skills are considered a plus
