SAFETY & QUALITY SPECIALIST

The Safety & Quality Specialist at AMISCO plays a key role in managing safety and compliance on ships. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to maritime regulations, performing vessel inspections and audits, fostering continuous improvement, and reporting environmental metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of maritime laws and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records concerning vessel operations, including inspections and maintenance.
• Training: Develop and enhance training materials for crew and shore personnel.
• Navigation and Safety: Monitor adherence to maritime regulations and safety procedures to uphold voyage safety.
• Emergency Response: Provide crisis management during emergencies to protect crew, vessels, and cargo.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proven decision-making skills under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in either Estonian or Russian is highly recommended.
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours.

Good-to-have Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of international maritime regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in maritime industry software, such as electronic charting and safety management systems.
