What will you be working on?
Help scale, connect and secure our platform infrastructure.
Automate our core platform components either at the AWS or Application level.
Working hands-on in our Compute team. We are looking for keen engineers who want to build a first-class platform for product engineers in Wise, streamlining how fast an idea can be delivered and scaled into production.
We are investing in building cloud native applications backed by AWS as well as scaling our use of Kubernetes, so curiosity and learning is key.
What do you need?
We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us - the main aspect to have is passion for this technology space and the motivation to learn. If you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you:
Proficient in a programming language (Golang Preferred).
Cloud Infrastructure: Intermediate understanding of AWS or GCP services and best practices.
Experience using Kubernetes - managing resources and deployments
Nice to have
Unix Systems: Intermediate knowledge; competent in Unix shell commands and scripting.
Terraform: Competent in writing and managing infrastructure as code.
Source Control: Intermediate knowledge of Github.
Monitoring and Logging: Proficient in Grafana and other monitoring tools.
Operating Systems: Proficient in managing and configuring Ubuntu/Debian.
Collaboration: Effective communication within the team; uses documentation tools proficiently.
