Job Sites Traffic Hits Record High

Estonian job sites were visited a record 39.6 million times in the last 12 months. More than half (54%) of the visits were made to the CVKeskus.ee job site, followed by Töötukassa (18% of visits) and CV-Online (16% of visits), according to recent statistics from the web analytics company Similarweb.

Similarweb data shows that CVKeskus.ee is the most visited job site in Estonia, which was visited three times more than the nearest competing job site in the past 12 months.

CVKeskus.ee witnessed an impressive 18% increase in visits last year, surpassing the 21.5 million mark. Meanwhile, Töötukassa had 7.3 million visits, and CV-Online 6.4 million during the same period.

People are actively looking for a new job at the beginning of the year

At the beginning of each new year, job seekers actively pursue new job opportunities, resulting in peak traffic to job sites. January and February consistently emerge as the months of highest activity, with a combined total of 7.4 million visits in 2023.

The number of visits to job sites was also higher than average in October when CVKeskus.ee job site was visited 1.9 million times and Töötukassa & CV Online both 0.6 million times.

People prefer to browse job offers with a smartphone

An increasing preference for mobile browsing is reshaping how people search for job opportunities. From 2017, when two-thirds of people relied on computers while just a third used smartphones, the landscape has rapidly evolved. Now, over half (54%) of job seekers opt for the convenience of smartphones when browsing job offers.

Thus employers need to ensure that the start of the application process is quick and easy. Candidates should be able to initiate and complete applications within five minutes, whether they're taking a quick break at lunch or commuting home on the bus. This adaptability accommodates the on-the-go nature of modern job hunting, enhancing accessibility and engagement.
