Job Description

  • Select seafarers in accordance with the company’s needs and requirements.
  • Arrange crew changes efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Handle all crew-related claims and insurance cases.
  • Ensure vessels are manned with qualified, certified, and medically fit seafarers in compliance with national and international standards.
  • Maintain manning levels in accordance with Flag State and international requirements.
  • Maintain and update the Crew Rotation Plan for assigned vessels.
  • Plan and arrange crew changes in advance to meet operational and budgetary needs.
  • Coordinate with port agents at embarkation and disembarkation points, keeping them informed of travel arrangements.
  • Support the performance appraisal system by creating training actions and updating records.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence through effective cost control.
  • Monitor P&I claims related to seafarers and their medical cases.
  • Prepare required reports, including manpower reports.
  • Arrange travel visas for seafarers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as HR, Ship Management, or Business Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the maritime industry, general management, or HR.
  • Seagoing certification or experience in a senior role within a crewing department is preferable but not required.
  • Knowledge of MLC, STCW, ISM conventions, and vessel management.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Estonian and Russian at a conversational level.
