Finance Payment Specialist

As a financial technology company moving billions of GBP globally, Wise ensures bulletproof financials to comply with regulations and enable accurate business decisions. Our Accounting team in Tallinn is expanding, and we’re looking for a Payments Specialist to join us. Your Mission:

• Prepare, approve, and release vendor invoices, intercompany (IC), tax, treasury, and other internal payments in line with established processes.

• Record all movements on internal bank accounts.

• Contribute to month-end closing tasks.

• Investigate and resolve payment-related issues with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage internal queries through email, Slack, and Jira.

• Prepare and complete bank account reconciliations.

• Support internal and external audit processes by providing timely documentation.

• Drive continuous improvements in payment operations and workflows.

• A background in accounting or finance.

• Prior experience in processing payments (considered as a plus).

• Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and take initiative.

• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

• Collaborative and deadline-oriented with a team-first attitude.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Salary: 2000-2300EUR gross monthly
