Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Analysis: Analyse financial metrics and track actual performance against forecasts to provide actionable insights that guide decision-making.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Formulate budgets and forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare detailed and easy-to-understand financial reports for various stakeholders, including startup leaders, investors, and key functional teams.
- Operational Finance: Support startups with operational finance tasks, by managing monthly close process, transforming data into visual dashboards, implementing new finance tools and processes, all the while exploring automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
Must-have Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in finance (Finance Lead, FP&A, Business Control or similar)
- Proactivity and Growth Mindset: A self-driven interest to learn and improve, able to initiate tasks, and deliver results.
- Data-Savviness and Data Curiosity: Strong proficiency and comfort with data and analysis tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, or equivalent analytical platforms, to effectively analyse and interpret complex data.
- Clarity in English: Fluent in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex topics in an accessible manner.
Good-to-have Qualifications
- Data Integration & Analytical Programming Skills: Basic working knowledge of APIs, Python, SQL, R, or other commonly used data analysis languages.
- Insight into Startups: A good grasp of the startup environment, its challenges, and dynamics.
