Job Description
We at DANX BALTICS are looking for an Estonian Daily Operations Manager!
Estonian Daily Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of DANX and our customers, controlling the daily traffic and on-time delivery, managing terminal and the terminal operators, and making sure our customers are satisfied with our work. You also follow the quality of packages scanning process.
Estonian Daily Operations Manager is part of our Daily Operations department. Our international team is looking for third member of the team to our Tallinn office in Estonia, and two terminal employees are waiting for their new manager.
Main duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Route Planning to develop optimal transportation routes for moving cargo based on factors such as distance, time, cost, and mode of transport.
- Managing and leading terminal in Tallinn, and its employees.
- Manage transportation network with our suppliers: including tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage delays and other disruptions in traffic.
- Administrative tasks in both internal and external transport systems.
- Responsibility to prepare or hold orders for sending. Responsibility of FSL.
- Work with cost control and improvements towards our haulers.
- Follow up on scanning quality. Ensure up to date training drivers and employees is maintained to achieve the key objectives of the role.
- Support with damage claims and damage prevention, ensuring all damages are scanned and marked with PDA. Supporting the Quality & Compliance team with ensuring that quality measurements in implemented and ensured in the terminal.
- KPI reporting. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Setting new customers to internal systems. Creating new routes in internal IT systems. PDA scanners management and other related IT tasks.
- Operational Key Account for local customers and haulers.
- Continuous Improvement identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the transportation and terminal functions.

Management experience: Experience from managing a team, and of leading his/hers team to better results. Also problem solving skills are an important part of people management.
IT: System experience of working with M365 package, different programs and Spreadsheets.
Geographical knowledge: Baltics and central Europe.
Education in logistics and transportation: Desired, helps you deep-dive into your new role faster, but isn´t an essential qualification for the role: your mindset is what takes you further.
Experience of working with clients and/or haulers.
Willingness to provide operational support outside of business hours: Our operations happen 24/7 and sometimes there´s a need for additional support also outside of our regular business hours.
