Job Description

  • Set up and operate the HAAS EC-400 horizontal machining center to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures for each job.
  • Selecting correct machining programs.
  • Monitor the machining process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machining center and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, using modern tools like Zeiss coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Fulfill production order documentation into our ERP system.
  • Operating other machinery in our machining department to produce quality products- laser engraving machine, hydraulic press to prepare blanks for machining.

Requirements

    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in operating milling center
      • Understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
      • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
      • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor) is a plus, but not mandatory
    • Precision and Attention to Detail:
      • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in machining.
      • Strong measurement and inspection skills using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
    • Problem-Solving Skills:
      • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining and production issues.
      • Adaptability to adjust machine settings and processes as needed.
    • Mechanical Aptitude:
      • Solid understanding of machining principles and mechanics.
      • Knowledge of materials used in the machining process (e.g., metals, plastics).
    • Experience:
      • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment with machining centres.
    • Communication Skills:
      • Effective verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
      • Communication in Russian (mostly) and Estonian, English is a plus.
    • Work Ethic and Reliability:
      • Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work.
      • Punctuality and reliability in meeting production deadlines.
    • Safety Awareness:
      • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a machining environment.
      • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work area.
    • Work in shifts:
      • Ability to wok in shifts (e.g. morning shift 6.45-15.15, evening shift 14.45-23.15)
