Chief Designer

Krug Expedition specializes in the design and production of expedition vehicles. We are looking for a Chief Designer to manage projects and develop high-quality and innovative solutions.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the design of expedition vehicles.
• Create and manage 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Develop new designs and improve existing ones.
• Interact with the production department to ensure the accuracy of the projects.
• Quality control and compliance with standards at all stages of design and production.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
• Prepare technical documentation and drawings.
• Participate in the development and implementation of plans to improve production processes.

Education and experience:

• Higher education in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience in the design and production of cars, preferably expedition or specialized vehicles.
• Experience in a similar position for at least 3 years.

Skills and knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of SolidWorks and the ability to create complex 3D models.
• Understanding of vehicle design principles, including ergonomics, weight distribution and stability.
• Knowledge of modern materials and manufacturing technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience in project and team management.
• Skills in solving technical problems and making engineering decisions.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations related to automotive production.

Additional requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively for field testing activities.
• Knowledge of Russian, Estonian, English, knowledge of German will be an additional advantage.
