As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will oversee our compliance team, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and establishing frameworks to navigate the ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Your role will be pivotal in safeguarding our operations and maintaining our competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and requirements in the AML field, including monitoring and analyzing transactions for any suspicious activities.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the compliance team, drive excellence, propose process improvements, and provide guidance and training to staff to foster a culture of compliance.
Policy Development: Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and risk management strategies. Assess and report AML/CFT and sanctions risks associated with client/partner relationships and transactions.
Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary contact with regulatory authorities such as the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA), ensuring compliance with all legal obligations.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular checks and assessments to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with other departments and auditors to integrate compliance processes into our business operations.
Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting compliance strategies and policies accordingly.
Additional Duties: Undertake any other compliance-related duties as mandated by law, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic regulatory environment.
