Chief accountant

In this role at CVKeskus.ee, you'll handle accounting duties in Estonia and oversee consolidation of Latvian and Lithuanian reports. It includes:

Financial reporting: Preparation of financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and annual reports. Compiling financial data for month-end and year-end close processes.

Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions in accounting software. Accurately entering, confirming or importing data such as invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments. Payroll accounting, filing tax returns and supporting auditors. 

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating with management to develop annual budgets and regular forecasts. Monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets and providing insights into variances. 

Ad Hoc Tasks: Assisting with special projects or initiatives. This may include data analysis, research, and other tasks to support employees, management and shareholders. 

We are looking for an individual with a hands-on approach, exceptional numerical skills, a keen eye for reporting aesthetics and clarity, and a drive for automation. Your chances of success in this role will be higher if you meet the following requirements:

Former Experience in a Similar Role: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and budgeting.

SAP, Targetik and Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel, including experience with financial and data analysis, and reporting. 

Excellent English and Estonian Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English (C1) and Estonian languages (C2), with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels. 

Ability to Meet Tight Reporting Deadlines: Proven track record of meeting tight reporting deadlines, with exceptional time management, organizational skills and ability to go the extra mile.  

Work Ethics: Strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Experience with Deferred Revenues and Costs: Familiarity with accounting for deferred revenues and expenses, including recognition, amortization, and reconciliation of deferred items in accordance with accounting standards. 

Knowledge of Consolidation: Proficiency in consolidation procedures, including experience with consolidating financial statements for multiple entities or business units.
