CHEMICAL ANALYST

As an Chemical Analyst, your responsibilities will encompass

• Operate and maintain ICP-OES, WDXRF, CS, ONH and particle size analyzer instruments for the analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished magnets in NdFeB industry.
• Operate and maintain environmental testing equipment such as: HAST, PCT, Salt spray and Cleanliness testing.
• Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods to ensure accurate and reliable data.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess elemental composition and impurities in samples.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Prepare and handle samples following established protocols to prevent contamination and ensure reproducibility.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret analytical data and generate detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with quality control, R&D, and production teams to address material quality and process improvement needs.
• Maintain meticulous records of all analyses and results in compliance with regulatory and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025; ISO 14001; etc ).
• Maintain laboratory equipment.
• Stay updated on advancements in analytical techniques and their applications in the NdFeB industry.

Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:

• Master’s degree education in Chemistry, Material Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical laboratory or processing facility.
• Technical know-how of chemical process from hands on experience.
• Proven experience with ICP-OES and WDXRF instrumentation in a laboratory setting, preferably in materials or metallurgical industries.
• Strong understanding of elemental analysis techniques, sample preparation, and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Familiarity with elemental and environmental testing.
• Familiarity with the chemical and physical properties of NdFeB materials is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to analytical instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Fluent in English, additionally Russian and/or Estonian.
