Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Automation Specialist located in Estonia, ideally in Narva. Up to 70% of time you can work remotely. The Automation Specialist will be responsible for process automation, troubleshooting, creating test cases, ensuring quality assurance, and streamlining automation processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and configure equipment, including controllers, servomotors, frequency converters, and pneumatic systems.

- Develop software for PLCs and HMIs (Omron brand used for Servo and PLC).

- Configure controllers based on unique project requirements.

- Draft specifications and production instructions.

- Commission and fine-tune completed products.

- Provide remote and on-site customer support.

Requirements

 

  • Technical Experience: Demonstrated industrial experience with HMI and PLC – better with OMRON but other brands are also possible (Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
  • Familiarity with servomotors, frequency converters, and electrowave systems.
  • Working knowledge of CanOpen, Modbus, and Profibus protocols.
  • Proficient in programming languages: preferably C, C++, VBA.
  • Readiness to travel up to 30% of the time (EMEA area)
  • Strong interpersonal and result-oriented skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher

Extra qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of other foreign languages (Russian, French, German, Spanish) is a plus.
