We are seeking a talented DATA ARCHITECT to join our team!
As an Data Architect, your responsibilities will encompass
- Works closely with NPM Silmet and NPM Narva cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and factories leadership, to understand business requirements and corresponding data needs
- Leads the design and implementation of data collection and integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow from the factory floors and quality laboratories to the data warehouses
- Develops and maintains comprehensive factory-specific data models with the local IT teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Architects and oversees the development of dashboards, standard reports, analytics software applications to support users information, insight and data-driven decision-making requirements in collaboration with the local IT teams
- Leads the deployment of self-serve BI tools in collaboration with the local IT teams
- Establishes and enforces data governance policies to ensure data completeness, quality, and integrity
- Collaborates with the Director of Infrastructure and Information Security to ensure data loss protection and system security
- Collaborates with corporate IT Director to plan and budget IT projects for area of responsibility
- Executes IT projects and budget as directed by Corporate IT Director
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on data integration, manufacturing data modeling, and analytics software applications design.
- Certification in data architecture or related fields
- Proficiency in data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica), data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin), cloud and non-cloud data warehousing tools (e.g. Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server), and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong experience with Database Management, especially SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
- Strong technical knowledge of and proven experience with Microsoft infrastructure technology stack.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience facilitating and orchestrating cross-business or cross-functional initiatives and the ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technology background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
- Fluent in English, Russian and Estonian
