Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and accountable Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist to join our UK team. This role will require you to monitor and identify emerging regulatory changes, while working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of compliance processes and regulatory submissions. You'll be the go-to person for managing applications, organising key meetings and trainings, and tracking progress on multiple projects.

Based in Tallinn, you will work with a growing team of experienced compliance specialists to help us build world-class products that are compliant with regulatory requirements. Your role will be within the UK Regulatory Compliance team which oversees our compliance with UK regulatory standards.

Your mission:
Horizon scanning: Ensure all relevant regulatory changes are documented, assessed and communicated to the Compliance Officers for further review.

Regulatory applications management: Manage the end-to-end process of regulatory applications, ensuring all required documentation is obtained and accurate.

Timely submissions: Manage key regulatory notifications, including FCA notifications, ensuring submissions are made accurately and on time.

Periodic reviews: Conduct various periodic reviews, ensuring regulatory standards are consistently met, documents are of the required standard, and all findings are assessed.

Training organisation: Coordinate conduct risk and customer care training sessions, ensuring all materials and resources are prepared.

Forums and meetings organisation: Set up quarterly horizon scanning forums and other key meetings, including preparing materials, tracking updates, and ensuring timely communication.

Collaboration and ownership: Collaborate with different teams to ensure regulatory tasks are completed and tracked efficiently, following up to ensure deadlines are met.

Operational support: Assist with operational projects aimed at improving compliance efficiency, including documenting issues and risks using internal tools.

Incident management: Executing our incident management process.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have experience in compliance or legal, great communication and organisational skills, tons of motivation and positivity. More specifically, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate they have these attributes:

  • Theory. You have compliance experience (or maybe you have a legal or analytical background) and/ or a keen interest in compliance with some foundations (for example, experience from Ops).  

  • Practice. You are a problem-solver. You have thought deeply about the Wise mission and how it intersects with compliance.

  • Passion. You get a kick out of improving current practices and processes. You have a can-do attitude and you love to collaborate with different teams of people across different regions. 

  • Get the job done. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and working to tight deadlines.

  • Communication. You’re a strong relationship builder across all levels of the business and externally.  You lead by example and can demonstrate the Wise values in all your actions.

  • Salary range: 2,700 - 3,500 € gross monthly
